Welcome to our guide on requesting note-taking services! This page outlines the essential steps and guidelines you need to follow when requesting note-taking services in our office. Our team is here to assist you through the process, ensuring you have the resources and support needed for requesting note-taking. Guidelines

Before students can requesting note-taking services in our office, students must first submit a semester request through the MyAccess portal. Click the Semester Request link under the Accommodations menu. You can then select the current semester and verify all of the accommodations and courses are correct. The purpose of this step is to activate the note-taking services accommodations that have been approved for you for the semester. You only need to submit this request once per class per semester. It is important to note that students must reach out to SAS staff to begin the process of requesting note-taking services.

It is important to note that requesting note-taking services does not guarantee that the student will receive a note-taker for all courses. As note-takers are assigned on a volunteer basis with other students in the class, if no students volunteer to be note-takers then there will be no note-takers for said class.

Additionally, since SAS waits for responses from students to volunteer to be note-takers, it may take some time for note-takers to be assigned to students. Here at SAS, we try to assign note-takers as soon as we can but we cannot give a timeframe for how long it might take to assign note-takers to students.
